My
name is Linda Kajda and my dog's name is Pebbles. That's Pebbles
and I in the photo above. Pebbles is a Pomeranian that has a lot
of medical problems, including skin, heart murmur, kidney and a
collapsing trachea. Her problems have been ongoing and with her
since she was very young. It has been a struggle to find a safe
and long term road to a healthy life for her but I never gave
up. Her quality of life and being with me for as long as I can
have her has been and is, my drive.
Pebbles is very special to me and I love
her very much. She means everything to me just as your dog does
to you.
The Wellness Center For Dogs was created
out of my love for Pebbles, dogs and their ability to have a
happy, healthy and long life.
The Center helps dog owners and potential
dog owners learn about dog wellness in a sense that is different
from traditional veterinary practices. Being educated is a very
important start to a dog's overall well being. The more you can
understand what wellness is, the better you can understand
illness and be able to help your dog long term.
Dog Wellness is an approach to healthcare
that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as
opposed to emphasizing treating diseases - as what traditional
veterinary medicine allocates. Preventing illness and prolonging
life can be done through safe and effective alternative
treatments and healing techniques. Treatments include
homeopathy, holistic or natural remedies. Doing something simple
like changing your dogs diet or using vitamins or herbs can help
in more ways than you know. Healing techniques include massages,
acupuncture, hydro therapy, herbal therapy and kinesiology.
There's been a rise in people wanting to
take care of their own wellness. These same people have turned
to remedies and treatments other than traditional methods and
have had profound results. This is also true of those that have
gone on to treat and cure their dogs via the same methods.
Alternative medicine empowers you to make
choices in your dog's care. Choices that are safer for your dog,
you and the environment. It's a wonderful feeling to know that
you have choices that are healthy to your dog and can help
prevent or heal ailments of all kinds including serious
diseases.
We encourage you to become familiar with
your dog's problems and ailments that he/she is suffering
from. The next best thing you can do for your dog is to educate
yourself and then apply some of these remedies and techniques.
You'll be amazed at the results and so will your dog. It's
always best to consult with a homeopathic/holistic veterinarian
so they can best guide you to the proper and most beneficial
methods to use.
